Edison and Frisch: Closing Out Strong with Your Support
We’re in the home stretch! After weeks of traveling, sharing, and connecting, Shuk to the Core is heading into its final two events this weekend—Edison on Saturday night and Frisch on Sunday. These last shows are not just the culmination of an incredible journey; they are a critical opportunity to finish strong, stand in solidarity with Israel, and make an impact that will be felt far beyond these two days.
If you’ve been following along but haven’t yet attended a Shuk, this is your moment. Whether you’re in Edison, Paramus, or anywhere nearby, we need you. More than just economic support, we need your moral support—to show our vendors and their families that they are not alone in their struggles.
The war may hopefully be nearing its end, but the reality for many Israelis is that the economic devastation will last for months, if not years. The Shuk is not just about buying products—it’s about connection, community, and hope. Let’s come together one last time to make this final weekend a success.

Why This Final Weekend Matters
We are two-thirds of the way through this Shuk tour, and while we’ve made incredible strides, we’re not quite where we hoped to be. The group’s total sales so far have passed $400,000, but we’re still pushing toward the goal of $600,000. These last two shows have the power to make a huge difference.
For the vendors—40 artisans and business owners who have traveled thousands of miles to bring you their work—these final opportunities mean everything.
Each purchase, no matter how big or small, has a ripple effect:
- It provides immediate income for artisans who have spent the last few months navigating a war-torn economy.
- It supports their families, employees, and suppliers back home in Israel.
- It sends a powerful message of solidarity—we are with you.
These last shows are also about hope. The war in Israel has left countless families reeling—whether from financial devastation, trauma, or the ongoing pain of knowing loved ones are on the front lines or, worse, held hostage. Many of these vendors live in those very realities.
You’ve likely seen the faces of the hostages on posters or on your social media feeds. For us, those faces are not just images—they’re our neighbors, our friends, our extended family. We live with their absence every day. When you show up for the Shuk, you are showing up for their families, too.
As one artisan said:
“We came here not just for our businesses but to share our stories and our resilience. Every person who stops by a table or buys something reminds us that we’re not forgotten—that we matter.”
What You’ll Find at the Shuk
The Shuk to the Core tour has brought together some of the most talented artisans and small business owners from Israel. Each item reflects not just beauty and creativity but also the perseverance and strength of its maker.
Here’s a preview of the treasures you’ll find at our Edison and Frisch shows:
- Stunning Handmade Jewelry:
From delicate gold and silver pieces to bold, eye-catching designs featuring natural stones, the jewelry at the Shuk is unlike anything you’ll find in stores. Perfect as a meaningful gift or a treat for yourself. - Beautiful Judaica:
Mezuzahs, menorahs, challah boards, tallit bags, and more—each piece a celebration of Jewish tradition and Israeli craftsmanship. - Fashion and Accessories:
Unique scarves, stylish purses, and sustainable fashion pieces handmade by Israeli designers. These items are both practical and beautiful. - All-Natural Skincare and Cosmetics:
Pamper yourself with luxurious lotions, creams, and Dead Sea mineral products. These are more than skincare—they’re a little piece of Israel’s natural beauty brought to you. - Art and Home Décor:
From hand-painted ceramics and vibrant prints to woodwork and Eilat stone jewelry, every item brings the colors and spirit of Israel into your home.
Each purchase is a connection—to Israel, to its people, and to their stories.
The Power of Showing Up
It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the constant calls for support. After all, the last 14 months have been exhausting for all of us—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Many of you have already donated, attended events, and given what you could.
But as we’ve said before—this isn’t over for those of us in Israel. We are living this war every single day.
- We’re waking up to news of rocket attacks.
- We’re hearing stories of loved ones who didn’t come home.
- We’re living with a level of economic uncertainty that is simply unsustainable.
By showing up at the Shuk this weekend, you’re not just providing economic support. You’re offering moral support—the kind that reminds us that we’re not alone.
As a community, we are stronger together.
